Chapter Chair: Brian Pearson, CIO, Stacked Restaurants

Brian Pearson serves as the CIO for Stacked Restaurants, LLC.  He is responsible for the computing and communications infrastructure for the chain, as well as helping to design and implement one of the first fully integrated customer service and sales solutions for the Casual Dining industry.  He serves on a variety of advisory boards both in and out of the hospitality industry, including Hospitality Magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board and HotSchedules Advisory Board.

Pearson’s operational background enables him to engineer holistic scalable infrastructure systems for growth companies that achieve strategic goals, while maintaing service of the operations groups.  Pearson has transitioned companies from weekly reporting in critical areas of sales reporting, labor and KPI’s to real-time solutions.  This innovation has increased productivity, cash flow and enabled more fact-based decisions for all levels of the companies he has served.

Prior to becoming the CIO for Stacked Restaurants, Mr. Pearson held IT leadership positions with BJ’s Restaurants, Inc, Ruby’s Diner, and Sylvan Learning Centers.  Other notable engagements include The Cheesecake Factory and both Chart House Restaurants, and Island’s Restaurants as a restaurant operator.

Brian lives in Orange County, CA with his wife Sharon, his Kindle, and five children.

Chapter Vice Chair: Justin Keenen, Director of IT, Veggie Grill

Justin Keenen is a restaurant and culinary professional who serves as Director of Information Technology for Veggie Grill, the nation’s leading plant-based fast-casual restaurant brand. Justin manages IT initiatives, long term strategies and a heavily outsourced team of tactical partners to support and drive the brand in a fast moving landscape. Prior to leading IT for Veggie Grill, Justin led the Store Systems groups for larger chains such as Rubio’s Coastal Grill and Sbarro and also was a senior tech at P. F. Chang’s China Bistro. Justin was also a Service Manager at an Aloha reseller, which led him out of a storied career in restaurant operations and into the technology world.

Justin is a Microsoft Certified Professional, a member of the IFBTA and an active traveler to scuba dive spots around the globe.

Justin lives with his girlfriend in Los Angeles, CA where you can occasionally find him creating modern craft cocktails in his home bar or riding his tiki-styled beach cruiser on The Strand.
